materials

  • Bamboo skewers
  • Glitter cardstock in gold and silver
  • Crescent moon paper punch
  • Star paper punch
  • Small hole punch
  • Twine
  • Scissors

steps

  1. Using a paper punch, make a moon and stars from glittered cardstock. (Tip: If you don't have a moon-shaped paper punch, trace a circular object such as a teacup onto paper to create a crescent moon from the cardstock and cut using scissors.)

  2. Make holes at the top of each star and of the crescent using a hole punch.

  3. Measure a length of twine and cut using scissors. Thread twine through each shape and tie to the twine hanging between the bamboo skewers. (Tip: Tying at different heights will create added visual interest.)

  4. Tie twine so it hangs between two bamboo skewers.
