This Pretty-in-Pink Birthday Party is Truly Fit for a Princess

Fashionable Hostess Amanda S. Gluck hosts a princess-themed party — complete with tiaras and wands, a bouncy castle, and a three-tiered fairytale castle cake — for her daughter's fourth birthday.

Meet the Princess

For Reese's fourth birthday, I wanted to throw a beautiful princess party at our home. Living in Miami, winter is actually a gorgeous time to host an outdoor party thanks to the cool breeze and just the right amount of sunshine. I set the stage in her backyard by hanging lanterns by Under the Paper Lantern in the trees, creating a princess face-painting station, and setting up a gorgeous dessert buffet. The Paperless Post invitation asked all the little girls to dress as princesses, and it couldn't have been cuter!

Princess Transformation

Guest were welcomed to the party at the Princess prepping station in the entry of the home. The little girls were greeted by Princess Belle and a table full of tiaras and wands (and foam swords for the boys) so that they would be royally ready to enter the party. Wands were placed in flower vases to look like a Princess wand buffet. Alongside the table was a beautiful custom welcome sign designed by Small Moments.

Lunch is Served

On the patio was a buffet of lunch foods that included: sandwiches, chicken tenders, fruit and veggies platters, popcorn boxes, which Amanda had made with custom stickers that said "Happy Birthday Reese" from Beau-Coup. There was also applesauce, juice boxes, and mini waters. Reese helped out by sticking little "4" shapes into the sandwiches.

Royal Treats

The dessert table was my favorite feature of the party. It featured the cake as the focal point, which was surrounded by a candy display on either side and containers of princess cookies from Beau-Coup.

Fairytale Cake

Reese's birthday cake was a stunning three-layer castle cake designed by Miami cake designer Paola's Cake Atelier.

A Royal Send-Off

Guests left the party with a customized bucket from Party City filled with little toys from the store. White buckets for the boys and pink for the girls, whose names were written on the bucket with gold paint pen. Inside the buckets were princess sunglasses, princess cameras, princess coloring books, and for the older girls mini gumball machines from Beau-Coup. Hangtags were printed online and tied to each of the buckets and read "Thanks for coming." The boys received the same goodies but in PAW Patrol theme.
