Country music starlet Kelsea Ballerini felt at home in Nashville, Tennessee before she even lived there. Now with a cozy new house in the city and a successful music career, she feels more at home than ever.
New Space, New Beginning
When you're a country music star with an acclaimed album, life moves quickly. So we at Laurel & Wolf weren't too surprised when Kelsea Ballerini sought us out to design her new Nashville home just a year after we had designed her first apartment.
"It's the first big girl thing that I've ever bought, so I knew that I wanted it to be something that I would feel comfortable coming home to," she says. "I spend so much time on the road, it's important to have that home base."

A Rustic & Earthy Warm Up
The space is a brand new, open-concept condo with sky-high ceilings and large windows that stream bright, natural light into each area. Because it's a new construction, Kelsea's designer, Kimberly Winthrop, wanted to use earthy elements to warm the space up and make it feel more lived-in.
"Cladding the entire fireplace in reclaimed wood added so much texture and made it stand as a real architectural statement in the living room, accentuating the 15-foot ceilings," Kimberly says.

Glam & Serene Style
Kelsea's certainly a little bit country, but she's also a little bit glam rock n' roll. Kimberly used worn, rustic accents from online vintage shops to reflect Kelsea's country side, but also brought in plants, colorful pastel pillows, and animal accents to give the space a taste of glamour. The resulting living room is a serene mix of rustic, glam, and contemporary styles, that make it an ideal place to come home to after a long tour.

Traditional Meets Industrial
Elevated right above the living room is Kelsea's dining area, where she often has dinner with friends. A long, sophisticated table paired with a set of steel blue Louis XVI chairs gives the space a more traditional vibe. But the industrial, caged pendant lights that hang over the table offset the traditional and add some contemporary flavor to the room.

Rock N' Roll Edge
Hanging in her bright, open kitchen, a row of sleek, black guitars add some major edge to the space.

Feminine Floral Wardrobe
While the rest of her home is pretty neutral, Kelsea's huge walk-in closet is where the loud, sparkling, performer side of her personality comes out.
"Kelsea wanted to make sure this room was girly from top to bottom," says Kimberly, who added a sparkling, crystal chandelier to accent the bold, floral wallpaper.

Musical by Design
Kelsea's music room is where all parts of her personality come together. "This is my favorite room in the world because I feel like it's such a heartbeat of everything I love," she says.
A wall of reclaimed barn wood reminds her of her East Tennessee roots. The room holds her records, awards, and beloved instruments. She even has her first guitar, painted with pink roses, mounted on the wall.

A Room for Growth
"I'm working on my next album right now, and I guarantee a lot of it will be written in this room," Kelsea says, gesturing around the rustic and industrial music space.
At the rate that her star is rising, we're guessing that this relaxing room is going to fill up with plenty of new songs, new friends, and new awards.
