Introduction

For extra durability, we connected frames with hardware called mending plates. Try monochromatic identical frames as we did for a unified look, or an eclectic mix of shapes and sizes to liven things up.

steps

  1. To prepare artwork, first print out calligraphy clip-art. Then, measure and cut to fit frame. (Tip: We used the backboard of the frame as a template.)

  2. Lay out frames on the floor to find the arrangement you like. Then lay out frames, face down, in the pattern you choose.

  3. Drill pilot holes for screws, then use mending plates to connect the frames in two places.

  4. Display connected gallery wall. For this, get our tips and tricks on hanging pictures.
