This Christmas present comes with an extra surprise — the top of this gift box is a snowy winter scene.

Introduction

You can create other merry holiday scenes using miniature pieces from your Christmas village collection. Consider adding teeny-tiny village houses, sleds and ski slopes, or even woodland animals.

steps

  1. Apply two parallel strips of patterning tape toward the edge of the gift box lid. Determine the length and position according to your toy car. Then, apply 2 coats of Scallion satin paint onto the base of the gift box; let paint dry completely.

  2. Paint 2 coats of Wedding Cake onto the top and edges of the gift box lid and let completely dry. Apply a layer of glittering glue onto the top and edges, then sprinkle crystal coarse glitter all over. Let glue dry and glitter set.

  3. Peel off the patterning tape to reveal the car's "tracks." Using a hot glue gun, glue your car in place. Lightly paint Wedding Cake onto the edges of the bottle brush trees to emulate snow. Remove the base from one, and glue to the top of the car. The others can be glued to the lid.
