  • Cardstock paper in red, white, and blue
  • Safety pins
  • Scissors
  • Embellishments like stickers, streamers, ribbons, or clip-art of party symbols

  1. Using the circle cutter, cut out 3 – 4" circles from cardstock.

  2. Decorate circles as desired using stickers, ribbons, and clip-art. For rosettes, scrunch up crepe paper streamers to form a circle and hold in place with glue; secure to the back of cardstock circle. For ribbon tails, we used cardstock, but you can also use grosgrain ribbon or even crepe paper streamers.

  3. After decorating, glue the ends of a small strip of ribbon to the back of button; this will form a loop to attach an opened safety pin. Pin badge and wear proudly.
