DIY Geometric Area Rug
Ready to give your floor a quick makeover? A set of painted triangles gives this plain area rug two things: a pop of color and a 3-D look.

Tape off three equal sections of the rug, horizontally. Starting with one section, visually divide that section into fourths and tape off right triangles on the outer quarters. (Tip: You will have to tape off and paint each triangle as you go; for this, we recommend working your way from the outside inward.)
Using the brush, apply vintage décor paint in an up-and-down pouncing motion, working the paint into the fibers of the rug.
Continue taping off right triangles and painting the sections in various colors; leave some triangles unpainted for an easier job.
