Heart-Framed Shadow Box
Wondering what to do with all of those kids' art projects from class? Put them on display in a heart-shaped frame, perfect for Mother's Day.

- Kids' artwork
- Square picture frame, 8"x8" or 12"x12"
- Heart template (made yourself)
Carefully remove glass pane from the picture frame.
Using scissors, cut a simple heart template out of paper.
Center the heart template on the glass pane, and start tracing the outer edges of the heart with your large brush and craft paint.
Continue to fill in the first layer from the heart outline, out toward the edges of the glass pane; let dry.
Apply a second coat of paint. If needed, apply a third coat until you end up with an opaque "shadow" box, allowing the layers to completely dry in between.
Let the painted glass cure for as long as possible. Then, use this to frame kids' artwork!
