Lime Simple Syrup

Use this flavored syrup to make cocktails or drizzled over fresh melon or pineapple.

  • Yield: Makes 6 tablespoons

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • Zest of 1 lime


  1. Combine sugar with 1/4 cup water and lime zest in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally until sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat, and cool to room temperature. Store in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Strain out the zest before using.
