- 3 cups sugar
- 1 1/2 cups water
Fill a large bowl with ice and water; set aside. Combine sugar and water in a small saucepan; place over medium-high heat. Cook, stirring frequently, until sugar is completely dissolved, about 4 minutes. Transfer syrup to a medium bowl, and place bowl in the ice bath until chilled. Store in an airtight container, refrigerated, for up to 2 months.
