Creamy and Crunchy Coleslaw

For contrasting color, use a variety of cabbages in this creamy-crunchy slaw.

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground celery seed
  • 1 large carrot, grated
  • 3 cups packed thinly sliced cabbage
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper


  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, and celery seed. Add carrot and cabbage, and season with salt and pepper; toss well to coat. Serve.
