Boiled Corn

Boiling corn in milk gives it a sweet flavor; adding sugar brings out even more sweetness.

  • 2 quarts milk
  • 2 quarts water
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 8 ears corn


  1. In a large, heavy saucepan, bring milk, water, and sugar to a rapid boil. Add corn, and cook 3 to 5 minutes, or until desired doneness.
