Vanilla Bean Cream

Serve this fragrant recipe with a bowl of hot cereal.

  • Yield: Makes 2 cups

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 vanilla bean, split and scraped


  1. Heat cream and vanilla bean, with scrapings, in a saucepan over very low heat until cream is just bubbling. Remove pan from heat; steep for about 20 minutes. Remove bean, and serve warm.

Cook's Notes

Remove and discard the vanilla bean before serving.
