Orange Butter Glaze

Use this recipe when making our Great Pumpkin Cake.

  • Yield: Makes 2 cups

  • 5 tablespoons milk
  • A few drops of orange liquid-paste food coloring
  • 4 cups sifted confectioners' sugar
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted


  1. In a small bowl, combine the milk and the orange food coloring until mixture is desired color, and set aside. In a medium bowl, whisk together the sugar and the melted butter. Add the reserved milk mixture, and continue whisking until smooth. Use immediately.
