Candied Tangerine Slices

Use this recipe to make our Tangerine Tea Cake.

  • Yield: Makes 6 to 8

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 tangerines, preferably organic, cut into 1/4-inch-thick slices and seeds removed


  1. Bring sugar and 1 cup water to a boil in a medium saucepan, stirring, until sugar dissolves. Add tangerines. Simmer until translucent, about 20 minutes. Let cool completely in syrup.

Cook's Notes

Store slices in syrup in an airtight container up to 1 week.
