A Cheerful Paper Holiday Wreath

Nothing says season's greetings quite like a handmade wreath!

materials

  • Colorful holiday paper

  • Ruler

  • Hot-glue gun

  • 12-inch embroidery hoop, just the inner hoop

  • Letter stickers

steps

  1. To make each large medallion, you will need two strips that are 12 by 2.5 inches. Score each strip every half inch and attach the ends of strips together to create a medallion. You will need eight large medallions to complete the wreath.

  2. To make each smaller medallion, you will need one strip that’s 12 inches by 1.5 inches and one that’s 6 inches by 1.5 inches. Score each strip every half inch and attach the ends of strips together to create a medallion. You will need eight small medallions to complete the wreath.

  3. To make the stars, use the template to cut out eight shapes. Score each star from point to point and fold gently to shape the star.

  4. Attach the medallions and the stars to the hoop with hot glue.

  5. To make the banner, cut an 11-by-1.5-inch strip and snip out notches in each end. You may need to adjust the size of the banner according to your letter stickers or the phrase you choose.

  6. Stick the letters on the banner and attach it to the wreath with hot glue.
