Simple Tomato Sauce for Pizza

When you begin with high-quality canned tomatoes, they need very little enhancement to make a delicious pizza sauce.

  • Yield: Makes 3 cups

  • 1 28-ounce can best quality tomatoes, preferably San Marzano
  • 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt, to taste


  1. Pass tomatoes and juice through a food mill fitted with the medium disk. Season with salt.
