Doily Flower Gift Wrap Topper

  • Martha Stewart Crafts Scoring Board

  • Card stock: navy, light blue

  • Ribbon

  • Martha Stewart Crafts Doily Punch Starter Set Eyelet Lace

  • Silver metallic paper

  • Martha Stewart Crafts Paper Trimmer

  • Martha Stewart Crafts All-Purpose Scissors

  • Martha Stewart Crafts Fringe Scissors

  • Martha Stewart Crafts Dual Temperature Setting Glue Gun

  • Double sided adhesive tape

steps

  1. Using the scoring board, make a 6 x 6 x 1 1/2 inch box from navy card stock.

  2. Wrap box with ribbon.

  3. Punch 2 doilies from light blue card stock, using the Eyelet Lace cartridge -- Follow the instructions included in the Doily Punch Starter Set.

  4. Score each doily to the center of the flower design. Turn and repeat until you have scored the entire doily.

  5. Carefully fold along each score line alternating the direction.

  6. Cut a 1 1/2 x 12 inch strip of silver metallic paper. Score and fold in half to create a 3/4 x 12 inch strip.

  7. Using the fringe scissors cut about 1/2 inch into the folded edge of the paper to create fringe loops.

  8. Roll up the fringed strip to create the flower center and adhere the end of the strip to the roll using hot glue.

  9. Layer doilies together onto front of box to create flowers and adhere. Add fringed flower centers to complete.
