Come the weekend, we’re breaking out the grill and frying some chicken -- it's a holiday after all! Visit us every week for dinnertime inspiration.

TUESDAY: Brown Rice with Salmon, Avocado, and Toasted Nori

Photography by: Johnny Miller

Just what Tuesday needs, a Japanese-inspired dinner that's much tastier than any takeout. It's a clever riff on sushi, but here the salmon fillets are seared and the seaweed is toasted and served atop brown rice, with a fresh avocado and cucmber salad. All comes together with an intense lemon-soy-chili sauce.

SUNDAY: Fried Chicken, Wyebrook Style

Photography by: Mikkel Vang

For a holiday weekend, what is more apt than a big platter of fried chicken? This fabulous version, from our friends at Wyebrook Farm, is soaked in buttermilk, onion, and garlic before being battered and fried. A light touch of lavender flowers and local honey makes a smashing garnish. Potato salad is optional, grilled corn compulsory.
