Daisy Schwartzberg, who has been doing Martha's makeup for a while, gives us the inside scoop on how to look your best, even when you're on the road.
Prep & Pamper
"Make sure you're very prepared to travel. Stay hydrated, and don't do anything new to your skin. I get a facial beforehand sometimes if I know I'm flying for a long time."

Keep It Clean
"I always carry Neutrogena makeup wipes. Cleanse your skin before a long flight with the wipes because they have moisturizer in them. If you wear contacts, always take your contacts out and put your glasses on."

Daisy's magic tip for keeping skin hydrated while traveling: "I put raw coconut oil in a little container and use it as a lip balm, moisturizer, and hair conditioner. It's magic! It doesn't clog your pores, either."

"I never rely on shampoo from hotels. I always buy little containers from the drugstore and put my shampoo and conditioner in them."

Keep It Simple
"I only travel with a carry-on. I really consolidate my makeup case and my toiletries."
Daisy's travel beauty bag must-haves are L'Oreal mascara, Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer, NARS multi-stick in "Orgasm," Shu Uemura eyelash curler, Laura Mercier Caviar Stick eye shadow, Laura Mercier travel-size lip gloss and a simple brown eyeliner.

Play with Texture
"If I'm going to a warm place, I have curly hair, so I'll just get a beach spray or a texturizing spray and work the weather! Texturizing sprays are great for tropical places, especially if you have fine hair. Sometimes, I just braid my hair or work it back in a ponytail."

Protect Yourself from the Sun
"I use moisturizer and sunscreen. Even if it doesn't look like the sun is out, I always use sunscreen."

Nobody naturally looks peppy when getting off a long flight. The fix: "Use pink blush! Anything peachy or pinky really brightens up your face. And use an eyelash curler."

Be Ready for Touch-Ups
"If you're traveling for a long time, longer than two weeks, your roots might start showing. Rita Hazan's travel-size touch-up spray is the most genius thing ever created. It's a color spray, so it covers your roots until the next shampoo."
