This is the collection for anybody who has ever dreamt of owning their own chic set of café furniture. You know what we're talking about. The sets that line Parisian sidewalks -- the sets that invite you to enjoy an espresso (or three) and just laze all day. There's something so special and romantic about that rattan furniture.
Martha herself loves rattan and owns a lot of it. Her personal furniture collections and outdoor bistros in Paris were the inspirations for the product design of this new line.
“It’s a nod to café furniture but it’s more usable. It’s a full-size dining table, with chairs that have generous proportions. You get a unique, playful café look but with more room and versatility,” says Marissa Brown, VP Design Director and Rosma Gutierrez, AVP Deputy Design Director for Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia.
“We love the look of rattan furniture, but it can’t be left outside for extended periods of time. These pieces have a similar look but with almost no maintenance because of the materials we used,” says Rosma Gutierrez, AVP Deputy Design Director for Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia.
This line utilizes aluminum frames, rattan-looking resin, and glass –- making the pieces extremely durable and weather resistant. Blue fabric cushions –- that match the blue stripes woven into the chairs -- add style and a soft touch.
The pieces come in a set but mixing and matching is also encouraged. You can check out the line at homedecorators.com.
