Perfect Cocktail Sauce

  • Yield: Makes about 1 1/4 cups

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup freshly grated horseradish
  • 1 teaspoon white wine vinegar
  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1/4 teaspoon coarse salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)

Directions

  1. Stir horseradish and vinegar. Then stir into ketchup to combine. Add lemon juice, salt, sugar, and hot sauce, if desired. Cover; refrigerate until ready to serve, or overnight.
