materials

  • Drill and 1/8-inch drill bit

  • 3 wineglass racks (with screws), 10 inches each

  • Cabinet

  • 12 inside-mount brass sockets, 3/8 inch

  • 12 screws, 1/2 inch

  • 6 brass-plated steel rods, cut to size

  • French cleats

  • Stone, cut to size

steps

  1. Drill pilot holes for wineglass racks inside cabinets; secure with screws.

  2. Determine placement for wine-bottle racks. Drill pilot holes, then screw 3 rod-socket bases into each side of cube. Slide threaded tubes over both ends of rods; screw onto bases. Repeat for second rack.

  3. Mount bar to wall with French cleats. (We used cleats with a maximum weight capacity of 200 pounds. (Determine the hardware you should use for your wall.)

  4. Place stone on top.
