12 Months of Martha: Stenciled Wood Pallet Crates from Fancy Shanty

Materials

  • Wood pallet crates with jute handles
  • Martha Stewart Crafts Paint Satin in Wedding Cake (if needed)
  • Martha Stewart Crafts Paint Satin in Camellia Pink
  • Martha Stewart Crafts Paint Satin in Wild Salmon
  • Martha Stewart Crafts Paint Satin in Yellowjacket
  • Martha Stewart Crafts Adhesive Silkscreens
  • Martha Stewart Crafts Squeegee

Directions

If wood pallet crates are natural-color, paint with 1 to 2 coats of Martha Stewart Craft Paint Satin in Wedding Cake. Set aside to dry completely.

Place desired adhesive silk-screen on crate and press firmly to seal.

Using the craft squeegee, apply a thin layer of paint on top of the stencil. I like to smear the paint in multiple directions to assure the entire area is covered.

Carefully lift off adhesive silk-screen while paint is still wet. Set aside to dry completely.

Clean silk-screen with warm water and dry completely. Repeat as needed with multiple images.
