Her Favorite Things: Kate Arends
As a graphic designer and creative director of Wit & Delight Studio (witanddelight.com), Kate Arends appreciates beautiful form, but always with a big nod to function. She thoughtfully considers any potential addition to her home or wardrobe: Is it versatile, well made, and long-lasting? “I only need a few things that do what I need them to do -- style follows that,” says Arends, who has partnered with Target to design a limited-edition line of party products. Her home base of Minneapolis has influenced her design sense. “We’re farther away from trends on the coasts,” she says, “so styles tend to evolve in their own way here.”
