Papier-Mache

Papier-mache is an uncomplicated crafting technique that turns old newspaper into art. All you need are strips of newspaper, a glue solution, some cardboard or chicken wire, and paint. With a bit of imagination, animals, cars, and hot-air balloons come to life in papier-mache form.

There's nothing bare-bones about these Halloween decorations. The "Flintstones"-size femur and the heap of humeri posing as logs in the fireplace are made from newspaper wrapped in plaster cloth. (Table legs are legs indeed -- store-bought faux bones!)Watch the How-To Video
