Bunting banners will never go out of style. It's so much fun to personalize them for any event, whether it be to match the colors, decor, or name of the guest of honor. With my favorite pink holiday (Valentine's Day) approaching, I wanted to make something simple and fun, yet easy enough to be tailored to any party. With a little bit of chalkboard paint, twine, stationery, tape, and a few wooden hearts, I created an easy DIY project that's fun for any upcoming party.

  • Once your hearts are dry, attach chalkboard hearts to a piece of twine.

  • Using your choice of Martha Stewart Love Notes Paper Cards Set, between each chalkboard heart, add a card. We chose the red ones. There is already an opening on each note card, so you will need to lightly tape or glue the top to enclose each note card around the twine.

  • The hearts display gorgeously on the banner with or without chalk. Write your favorite person's name or the theme of the party on each heart with chalk to add a personal touch.

  • Add a pop of extra flair by adding a gold fringe tassel to each side of your banner.
