Spiced Cashew Cream with Fruit


This cashew mash is slightly sweetened; dip with your favorite fruit.

  • 1/2 cup raw cashews
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • Coarse salt
  • Apple and/or pear slices, for serving


  1. Soak cashews in water for 30 minutes. Transfer to a blender with cinnamon and honey and blend until smooth. Season with salt and refrigerate in an airtight container up to 1 week. Serve with apple and/or pear slices.

    The flavor is nice, but they should specify that you have to pour off the water before transferring the cashews only to a blender. I read this recipe several times before transferring the cashews and water to the blender. So, I just wasted some pricey raw cashews :(
