Sources

Wooden paper cups, $.75 each, thinkgarnish.com
Adhesive stencil film, $10, and Multisurface Pearl acrylic paint, in Mint Chip, $2 for 2 oz., by Martha Stewart Crafts, michaels.com

Materials

  • Stencil film
  • Wooden cups
  • Craft paint and paintbrush
  • Small plants

Steps

  1. Step 1

    First, cut a heart shape out of stencil film, then stick the film on an inexpensive wooden cup.

  2. Step 2

    Dab paint on the stencil, then peel the film off.

  3. Step 3

    Make as many as you need, then transfer a small plant into each cup (we used succulents).

    Forget last comment. Clicking the above thinkgarnish.com took me directly to the wooden paper cups. I had originally seen these in the magazine and manually typed in their website, but no "wooden paper cups" showed up when I searched their shop.

    I would love to make these, but thinkgarnish.com does not seem to sell the wooden paper cups. I have tried to google and find another source without success. Does anyone know where I can purchase them?
