materials

  • Craft paint and brush (optional)

  • Pin

  • Thread, yarn, or embroidery floss

  • Glue

steps

  1. Paint pin, then let dry (optional).

  2. Knot thread around pin, leaving a 1-inch tail. Glue tail against pin. Begin tightly winding thread around pin, covering tail. Continue to desired length.

  3. To change color, knot thread and glue down tail; repeat step 2. To finish, knot thread, cut off tail, and dab with glue.
