Sazerac for One
- Yield: Makes 1
- 1 sugar cube
- 2 ounces bourbon or rye
- 4 dashes orange bitters
- 1/4 teaspoon anise-flavored liqueur
- 1 lemon twist
Place sugar cube in a cocktail shaker along with a little water and stir to dissolve. Add bourbon and bitters. Fill with ice, and stir to chill.
Pour anise-flavored liqueur into an old fashioned glass and swirl to coat; pour off excess. Strain bourbon mixture into glass. Rub lemon twist around the rim of the glass (do not add to drink).
