Creamy Avocado Dip

  • 2 sliced avocados
  • 1 cup low-fat sour cream
  • 1/2 cup packed fresh cilantro leaves
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 finely chopped jalapeno
  • 1/2 teaspoon coarse salt
  • Tortilla chips, for serving


  1. In a food processor, combine avocados, sour cream, cilantro, lime juice, jalapeno, and salt. Pulse until smooth, scraping down sides as necessary. Serve with tortilla chips.

    Great dip. Made is today for the 4th. Couldn't be more simple! I recommend increasing the salt to 1 teaspoon to enhance the flavors.

    This was so quick to make and tastes just as good as Sarah said it does. My family doesn't care for spicy food but it wasn't all that spicy even with the jalapeno in it.
